The Lay Readers of Church of the Holy Trinity read the Old Testament and Epistle readings each week, as well as leading the Psalm and the Prayers of the People. This dedicated group meets at least twice a year for training, and they are encouraged to spend time studying the passages that they read as a spiritual discipline that will then inform their reading for the congregation on Sunday morning. The Lay Readers also take roles in the Passion readings on Palm Sunday and Good Friday, to deepen our understanding and worship experience during Holy Week.
